What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored by the web browser on the user's terminal device to store certain information. The next time a user visits our website using the same terminal device, the information stored in cookies is sent back to our website ("First Party Cookie") or another website to which the cookie belongs ("Third Party Cookie").
By means of the information stored and returned in the cookie, the respective website recognises that the user has already accessed and visited it with the web browser of his or her terminal device. We use this information in order to provide the user with the best possible display of the website according to his preferences.
However, only the cookie itself is identified on the end device. Any further storage of personal data is only carried out if the user gives us his explicit consent or if this storage is absolutely necessary in order to be able to use the service offered and accessed.
The user can adjust his cookie settings individually at any time, for example by activating or deactivating individual cookie categories.
How the user can deactivate or delete cookies in general (including the absolutely necessary cookies) in his browser is described in the section "Deactivation or deletion of all cookies".
Categories of the cookies used
Depending on their purpose and function, we divide the cookies used by the website into the following categories:
Types of Cookies
Cookies can be classified according to their type, duration and category.
First-party cookies: Cookies that Wix places on your site.
Third-party cookies: Cookies that are placed and used by third parties.
Session (transient) cookies: These cookies are erased when site visitors close their browsers and are not used to collect information from their computers. They typically store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify the user.
Persistent (permanent or stored) cookies: These cookies are stored on a site visitor's hard drive until they expire (at a set expiration date) or until they are deleted. These cookies are used to collect identifying information about the user, such as web surfing behavior or user preferences for a specific site.
Strictly necessary cookies: These are the cookies that let your visitors browse through your site. They are also necessary for security reasons.
Functional cookies: These cookies "remember" registered visitors/customers in order to improve their user experience.
Deactivation or deletion of all cookies
The user can set his web browser to generally prevent the storage of cookies on his terminal device or to ask him each time whether he agrees to the setting of cookies. Once cookies have been set, the user can delete them at any time. How this works is described in the help function of the respective web browser.
A general deactivation of cookies may lead to functional limitations of this website.
